unofficial nightly builds of mozilla software
This website is dedicated to the Mozilla Firefox Unofficial Builds project, a collection of coders, builders, and end-users who wish to offer alternative, unofficial builds of the Mozilla Firefox Web browser. We also currently host builds of the Mozilla Thunderbird mail and news client.
Please note that as of the release of Firefox 0.8, the unofficial builds found on this website will no longer carry the same artwork and branding that the official Mozilla Firefox builds do. This is intentional, and a full explanation can be found here. scragz, one of the builders that has joined this project, has made available a guide for builders who wish to modify the artwork in their local source trees before building an unofficial build.
Also note that this project is in no way a fork or a branching off from the official Mozilla project, and has absolutely no plans to do so. All pertinent discussions will be cross-posted to the MozillaZine Forums for feedback.
This site currently hosts builds of both Firefox and Thunderbird made by a variety of authors. The build indexes are linked to from the front page, and the builds are listed by author, platform (where applicable), and any notes on the differences between builds. Please note that due to the early and nascent nature of this project, there may be a large number of changes made to this website, and that things may suddenly be different for no reason ;-)
